Turkish archaeologists found confirmation of events from Homers Iliad

Sensational discovery by Turkish archaeologists confirms the reality of the Trojan War described in the "Iliad." This was reported by the Daily Mail on Tuesday, July 15.

During extensive excavations at the site of legendary Troy, scientists discovered an impressive collection of battle artifacts - several dozen carefully polished clay stones, located outside the palace walls. The findings were complemented by arrowheads and human remains also found by the expedition.

According to experts, the discovered stones were one of the most deadly types of weapons of the Bronze Age. The age of the findings is 3.2-3.6 thousand years, which perfectly coincides with the historical period in which, according to legends, the famous Trojan War took place, immortalized in Homer's immortal poem.

Researchers found that the fallen warriors were buried in haste, without observing traditional rituals. The combination of new findings with previously discovered arrowheads provides convincing evidence of fierce close combat that took place in this part of the ancient city. As the publication emphasizes, the archaeological discoveries fully correspond to the battle scenes described in ancient Greek texts.
