Star of "Magnificent Century" Ozan Güven convicted of domestic violence

As reported by TUT.AZ, citing Hürriyet, famous Turkish actor Ozan Güven, who played the role of Rustem Pasha in the popular series "Magnificent Century," has been sentenced to prison.

The 50-year-old artist received a punishment of two years and three months imprisonment for domestic violence.

The story began in 2020, when Güven's former girlfriend, Deniz Bulutsuz, approached law enforcement with a statement about abuse by the actor.

Güven categorically denied all accusations and even filed a counter-suit, claiming that he himself was a victim of assault and defamation by his ex-partner.

However, after conducting a psychological examination of Deniz Bulutsuz, the court sided with the woman. The actor's counter-suit was rejected, and he was sentenced to actual imprisonment. Güven's defense is already preparing an appeal.

Initially, the famous actor faced up to 13 years in prison. After the charges were brought, Güven led a reclusive lifestyle - he refused to use a car, motorcycle, and household staff services.
