The body of 40-year-old Natalia Maurer was discovered on May 3 in a Moscow apartment. According to Baza, the woman was found lifeless in a residence belonging to Alexei Pashtaev - a well-known surgeon and senior researcher at the "Eye Microsurgery" center. Law enforcement's attention was drawn to obvious signs of disorder and traces of struggle in the premises.

According to the investigation, Maurer and Pashtaev were living together. The apartment owner has already been detained and taken into custody. Investigative authorities have charged him with intentionally causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim's death by negligence.

Natalia Maurer was a vibrant personality in the world of art and beauty. After winning the title of "Mrs. Nizhny Novgorod," she had the opportunity to represent her region at the prestigious national "Mrs. Russia" contest.
