Former US President Joe Biden may live from 12 to 18 months with the diagnosed aggressive form of prostate cancer with bone metastases.
This was reported by the former White House physician, now Republican congressman Ronny Jackson in an interview with The Washington Free Beacon.
"I'm not a specialist in this field, but I consulted with several urologists after this information emerged. According to the general consensus of specialists, the probable life expectancy could be from 12 to 18 months," Jackson stated.
The congressman expressed sincere hope that Biden would be able to overcome the medical prognosis and live longer. He also emphasized that prostate cancer treatment often proceeds without the severe side effects that are characteristic of other oncological diseases.
In his comment, Jackson sharply criticized Biden's personal physician - Dr. Kevin O'Connor, who has worked with the politician's family for many years. According to the congressman, if O'Connor claimed that Biden did not have cancer, then he either deliberately concealed information from the public or demonstrated professional incompetence.
Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, medical experts note that the tumor is hormone-dependent, which provides opportunities for effective therapy. In the current situation, both Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have expressed words of support to Biden.
