Assassination attempt on Zelensky prevented in Poland

Assassination attempt on Zelensky prevented in Poland: special services detained a suspect at Rzeszów airport. This was announced by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasily Malyuk, reports "RBC-Ukraine".

According to the head of the SBU, the organizer of the failed assassination attempt turned out to be a Polish citizen with a military background who was recruited several decades ago. Malyuk emphasized that the detainee remained loyal to Soviet ideology and had been developing a plan to attack the Ukrainian president for many years.

Among the considered methods of assassination were an attack using an FPV drone or a sniper operation.

The successful prevention of the threat was the result of coordinated work between the Ukrainian Security Service and the Polish Internal Security Agency.
