An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 shook the Turkish city of Gemlik in Bursa province. Information about this appeared on July 2 on the official portal of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
According to the department, underground tremors were recorded in western Turkey at approximately 13:58 local time (coincides with Moscow time). AFAD reports that the epicenter of the natural phenomenon was in the Gemlik area, and the earthquake focus was at a depth of 13 kilometers.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya informed that AFAD specialists immediately began surveying the affected area.
"At the moment, there are no negative consequences," the minister assured in his official Telegram channel.
