Why does your eye twitch and when is it time to sound the alarm? Ophthalmologist Anton Kazantsev revealed the main causes of persistent eyelid twitching and explained in which cases medical help is essential.
As reported by TUT.AZ citing "Gazeta.Ru," according to the specialist, involuntary eyelid twitching is most often caused by myokymia — muscle contractions resembling tremors during severe fatigue. As a rule, this condition lasts several days, in rare cases up to two weeks, and then disappears without a trace without any treatment.
