Scientists reveal the point of no return: when the aging of the body begins to accelerate
An international group of researchers from Singapore and China has made an important discovery in the field of gerontology. According to the results of a large-scale study published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature Aging, the critical threshold in the human aging process is the age of 65.
It is after reaching this age mark that the human body undergoes serious biological transformations. Scientists have recorded significant changes in the immune system, metabolism, and cardiovascular function. Evidence of this phenomenon has been found in blood composition, decreased tissue regeneration ability, and increased inflammatory processes in the body.
The study also revealed that aging does not occur linearly, but in jumps, with three key turning points - around 30, 60, and 65 years. At 30, the first noticeable decrease in metabolic activity begins, at 60 years there is a slowdown in cellular regeneration, and after 65 years the aging processes sharply accelerate.
Specialists note an encouraging fact: even after crossing the 65-year threshold, age-related changes can be significantly slowed down. To do this, it is necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and carefully control chronic diseases.
The discovery of these "acceleration points" of aging opens new opportunities for the medical community and ordinary people in developing more effective strategies for preventing age-related diseases and creating personalized programs for active longevity.
