Named an unusual symptom of heart attack that is common in women

Cardiologist revealed three main signs of a heart attack, including an unexpected symptom that more often appears in women. This information was shared by Chris Kelly, head of the cardiology department at UNC Rex Hospital in North Carolina.

A heart attack is a serious condition that occurs when blood supply to the heart muscle is disrupted due to an artery blockage by a blood clot. Although many people know about typical signs such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, increased sweating, and dizziness, there are also less known symptoms.

Warning signals:

pressing chest pain that radiates to the shoulders, arms, or jaw;

sudden shortness of breath without physical exertion;

sharp abdominal pain and nausea - this symptom is often ignored,

but it is especially characteristic for women.

Dr. Kelly particularly noted that people over 50 with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should be alarmed when experiencing sudden abdominal pain accompanied by nausea - this may indicate a heart attack. The specialist strongly recommends seeking immediate medical attention if any of these symptoms appear.
