Apple will equip iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max with revolutionary anti-glare screens with scratch protection. The company aims to emphasize the premium nature of flagship models compared to base versions, reports 9to5Mac.
According to information from unofficial sources, all models in the iPhone 17 lineup, including the base version, will receive smooth screens with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Considering analysts' forecasts about high demand for the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, Apple has decided to equip flagship devices with an exclusive display.
Insiders claim that iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with displays featuring a special coating that provides increased scratch resistance and effective glare suppression. Similar "nano-textured" coating is already used in some iPad Pro, iMac, and MacBook Pro models.
It is assumed that such a technical solution will not only distinguish Pro models against the elegant and visually attractive iPhone 17 Air, but also significantly improve image clarity in bright lighting, as well as substantially increase screen durability. This could become a decisive factor for consumers when choosing in favor of the Pro version.
