White House: Pause in Ukraine Support is Part of Standard Military Aid Review
"This is a standard Pentagon review of all military assistance that the US provides to all countries and regions of the world, not just Ukraine," explained White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, commenting on the situation with the suspension of weapons deliveries to Kyiv.
Earlier, NBC News, citing informed sources, disseminated information that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth allegedly made a unilateral decision to suspend military supplies to Ukraine.
On July 2, the US did temporarily stop sending critically important Patriot interceptors, anti-aircraft missiles, precision munitions, and 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine. The Pentagon is conducting an inventory of its own weapons stockpiles, expressing concern about their depletion due to prolonged support for Kyiv and military operations in the Middle East. Some of the weapons intended for Ukraine have already been delivered to Europe, however, their further transportation has been suspended.
