As reported by TASS, Ahmed Galeb al-Rahawi, who headed the government formed by Yemeni Houthis, was killed on Thursday as a result of an Israeli strike on the capital of Yemen. This was stated in an official announcement by the unrecognized presidential council that controls the territories of the "Ansar Allah" movement.

According to the published information, "several of his fellow ministers" also became victims of the attack, whose names have not yet been disclosed. A number of government members received injuries of varying severity and are currently undergoing treatment.

According to information from the Houthi-controlled Saba agency, the chairman of the Supreme Political Council of the "Ansar Allah" movement, Mahdi al-Mashat, has already appointed Muhammad Miftah as the new head of government, who previously held the position of first deputy to the deceased al-Rahawi.
