Pashinyan presented to Erdogan the results of negotiations in Washington

Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan and Turkish President Erdogan discussed historic agreements with Azerbaijan

An important telephone conversation took place between the head of the Armenian government Nikol Pashinyan and the President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports the press service of the Armenian government.

During the conversation, the Armenian Prime Minister provided detailed information to the Turkish leader about the results of recent negotiations in Washington, held on August 8. Special attention was paid to the initialing of the "Agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan." Pashinyan also spoke about the joint appeal to the OSCE regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group mechanisms, agreements on unblocking regional communications while respecting the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction of countries, as well as the project "Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP)".

The head of the Armenian government emphasized that establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan opens new horizons for regional cooperation at a qualitatively new level.

The conversation also touched upon issues on the bilateral agenda of Armenian-Turkish relations, in particular, the progress in implementing previously reached agreements. The Prime Minister noted the unprecedentedly favorable atmosphere for bringing these agreements to life. The parties agreed to continue active political dialogue.

Recall that following the trilateral meeting in Washington on August 8 with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, a declaration consisting of 7 points was signed.
