Moscow District Court of Kazan sentenced a man with the unusual name Jesus Christ for organizing an illegal migration scheme
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the newspaper "Evening Kazan," Tatarstan resident Jesus Petrovich Christ was found guilty of fictitious registration of foreign citizens. The case was considered under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the defendant registered 45 migrants in his apartment who had no intention of actually living at the specified address. For each such registration, Christ received a reward of about 2,000 rubles (42 manats). Notably, the man had previously been subject to administrative liability for failing to appear in court, for which he was fined 60,000 rubles (more than 1,200 manats).
At the court hearing on August 7, the accused did not deny his guilt and explained that he committed the crime due to his difficult financial situation. According to him, his disability pension was not enough for a normal life.
Despite the prosecution demanding a fine of 110,000 rubles (about 2,300 manats), the court took into account his second-degree disability and full admission of guilt, imposing a more lenient punishment – a fine of 13,000 rubles (approximately 275 manats).
