Iran resumes air traffic: most airports in the country have returned to operation
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the Mehr agency, the Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic announced the resumption of the country's airspace operations.
"Mehrabad Airport and Imam Khomeini Airport, as well as airports in the north, east, west and south of the country have resumed operations and are ready to provide the full cycle of services," the official statement of the department says.
It is noted that domestic and international flights will be operated at all airports of the Islamic Republic, with the exception of Isfahan and Tabriz airports, from 05:00 (05:30 Baku time) to 18:00 (18:30).
The day before, an official representative of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Majid Ahavan, announced that the country had closed its airspace for international transit flights.
At the end of June, Iran allowed international flights to use its airspace over the central part of the country and partially over the western regions.
