Impressive sight: driver in Dagestan captured a giant locust cloud over the highway

"A swarm of locusts attacked a driver in Dagestan. The man encountered a swarm of pests on the federal highway near Kizlyar," the publication notes.
The captivating footage shows how a real haze formed over the road due to the incredible number of insects. The locust invasion forced the motorist to move along a completely empty highway at a minimal speed — only about 30 km/h. In the video, you can clearly hear the drumming sound from insects hitting the car's windshield. It's worth noting that the Dagestan authorities are actively fighting the pest invasion — at the moment, 33 thousand hectares of agricultural land have already been treated.
