The USA has openly deployed nuclear weapons near Russian borders.

According to information from Bloomberg, the United States has allegedly returned nuclear weapons to the territory of Great Britain, thereby sending a "direct and clear" signal to Moscow.

In an unprecedented step that breaks traditional norms of secrecy, the operation to return American nuclear weapons to Great Britain was conducted almost publicly. A C-17 military transport aircraft, which departed on July 16 from Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico – a known storage facility for the US nuclear arsenal – set course for the British base at Lakenheath. Notably, the aircraft's transponder remained active throughout the entire flight, making the route accessible for tracking through open sources.

Military expert William Alberque from the Pacific Forum emphasized the deliberate nature of this demonstration. According to him, the flight was carried out by the "Main Nuclear Transport Forces of the US Air Force," and the activated transponder served as an intentional signal. The expert characterized the operation as a strategic "advance," enhancing NATO's deterrence potential and demonstrating Washington's determination not to back down on issues of nuclear presence in Europe.

Specialists suggest that modern B61-12 thermonuclear aerial bombs with adjustable power from 0.3 to 50 kilotons, designed for high-precision strikes, may have been delivered to Great Britain. Hans Kristensen, a representative of the Federation of American Scientists, stated there are "compelling grounds" to believe that nuclear weapons have indeed returned to British soil.

London is actively participating in this strategic deployment: earlier, the acquisition of F-35A fighters capable of carrying B61-12 was announced, and the Ministry of Defence officially restored the nuclear function of the Royal Air Force – for the first time since the end of the Cold War.

As a result, a more flexible nuclear infrastructure is forming in the European theater, which, according to experts, is designed to balance Russia's advantage in the field of non-strategic nuclear weapons.
