Israeli military neutralized air defense systems in western Iran and the Tehran area, providing their Air Force with complete control over the airspace of the Iranian capital.
This statement was made by the official representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Brigadier General Efi Defrin during a press briefing.
The general reported that over 70 Israeli combat aircraft participated in the large-scale night operation, simultaneously striking key facilities in Tehran and suppressing local air defense systems.
"The road to Tehran has been paved. We attacked more than 40 targets: missiles and advanced air defense systems throughout Tehran, as well as launchers and control centers," said Defrin. "Tehran is no longer protected. The capital is vulnerable to Israeli strikes," emphasized the IDF representative.
