Canadian Lucky Man Hits Three Jackpots in Nine Months: A Story of Incredible Luck

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to NDTV, Alberta, Canada resident David Serkin demonstrated phenomenal luck by winning a $1 million jackpot in the LOTTO 6/49 Classic lottery on May 3.

Notably, this is already Serkin's third major win: lottery operator representatives confirmed that in draws from August 20 and November 16 of last year, the man won a total of another $1.5 million.

Statistically, the chances of winning the grand prize are 1 in 33,294,800, but Serkin managed to overcome these incredible odds. The lucky man said that he has been a devoted fan of LOTTO 6/49 since the lottery's launch in 1982, and he enjoys the process of buying and checking tickets. He purchased his latest winning ticket at a gas station while refueling his car.

"You check your ticket, and if you win, you're happy. If not, you can always try again. I bought this ticket when I just came to the gas station. I saw that a big jackpot would be drawn soon and thought - what do I have to lose? So I took the risk," the man admits.

Serkin noted that he is well aware of the "astronomically" low chances of winning the lottery. Nevertheless, he intends to continue buying tickets because he enjoys the process itself.

"I survived cancer and retired, so I'm just grateful to fate for such a chance," shared the elderly man, whom the press has already dubbed "Mr. Lottery Hat-Trick."

Journalists also report that prior to this impressive series of wins over the past nine months, Serkin had already won the lottery 10 years ago. At that time, his winnings amounted to a quarter of a million dollars.
