Israel is not yet considering a diplomatic settlement of the conflict with Iran
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to TASS, Israel's Ambassador to Russia Simona Halperin stated at a briefing that it is premature to talk about a peaceful resolution of the confrontation with Iran.
During the meeting, the diplomat was asked about Russia's possible role in resolving the Israeli-Iranian conflict.
"The first priority at the moment is to destroy the desire, capability, intentions. After we destroy them, we will see how to properly move forward," the ambassador emphasized.
Halperin noted that it is "too early to think about who, when and how" can participate in the conflict resolution process.
At the same time, the head of the Israeli diplomatic mission specifically emphasized that Israel's actions against Iran are not aimed at regime change in the Islamic republic. "There is no goal to change [the regime in Iran]," she said in response to the relevant question. "This is not one of the operation's objectives."
