After plastic surgeries in summer, the skin experiences real stress and becomes extremely vulnerable, requiring especially gentle care. Cosmetic doctor Victoria Zhukova told "Gazeta.Ru" about this.
"To accelerate regeneration, physiotherapy procedures are prescribed (ultrasound and microcurrent therapy, as well as PDT (photodynamic therapy)," the expert said.
She also added that it is necessary to use sunscreens with high SPF +++ (at least 50).
"Creams should be suitable for your skin and not contain aggressive components. Apply every 2 hours. Also, regularly moisturize the skin with creams that promote recovery and do not cause irritation and are suitable for your skin type," explained Zhukova.
The expert urged to avoid contact with direct sunlight, especially in the first weeks after surgery - wearing wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses and covered clothing will be your best helper.
"It is very important to refrain from visiting tanning salons and to avoid using decorative cosmetics until complete healing. Also, as prescribed by your doctor, use silicone gels or silicone patches for the prevention and protection of scars. Don't forget that any new products should be coordinated with your cosmetic doctor. Following these simple rules will help avoid pigmentation, pathological scars and other complications, as well as preserve the beauty and health of the skin," she concluded.
