Zelensky: Russia is preparing not for a ceasefire, but for new offensives

Putin is not inclined toward peace: intelligence reports Russia's preparation for new offensive operations

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the evening address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to him, today he heard an intelligence report on the plans and intentions of the Russian leader.

"He is definitely not preparing for a ceasefire and an end to the war. Putin is only focused on presenting a meeting with the US leadership as his personal victory and continuing to act as before, putting pressure on Ukraine," the Ukrainian leader noted.

Zelensky emphasized that there are no signs of the Russian side preparing for the post-war period.

"On the contrary, they are moving their troops and forces in such a way as to start new offensive operations. If someone is preparing for peace, they don't do this. We continue to inform partners about the real situation on the battlefield, in diplomacy, and in Russian planning for further actions," Zelensky added.

Recall that on August 15, a meeting between Trump and Putin is scheduled to take place in Alaska.
