Moscow court issued a decision on the in-absentia arrest of writer Dmitry Bykov (recognized in Russia as a foreign media agent) on charges of spreading fakes about the Russian army. The information was confirmed by RIA Novosti, which received a comment from the court.
As it became known, on August 8, investigative authorities sent a petition to the Cheryomushkinsky Court of Moscow for the in-absentia arrest of the writer. The writer is charged with public dissemination of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, committed on the grounds of political hatred.
Recall that in July of this year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put Bykov on the wanted list without disclosing the specific article of accusation. The writer left Russia in 2022 after the start of the special military operation, after which he was included in the register of foreign agents.
