Turkey punished Google with a large fine of almost $9 million for violating legislation
"Turkey's antitrust authority on Thursday announced serious sanctions against technology giant Google, imposing an administrative fine of 355 million lira (equivalent to $8.88 million)," - according to the regulator's official statement.
According to the agency, the American IT corporation was subjected to penalties due to the implementation of technical solutions that contradict the regulatory requirements established by Turkish authorities.
