Trump: Iran wants to resume negotiations

US President Donald Trump declared Washington's readiness for negotiations with Iran on the nuclear program

As TASS reports, the White House head made this statement during a meeting with the Prime Minister, Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, answering a journalist's question.

"They want negotiations, they really want negotiations," Trump emphasized. "We're not in a hurry because we said a deal could have already been reached. They should have gone for the deal, and then we bombed them in several places," the American leader continued.

"We're not in a hurry. But if they want negotiations, we are ready for them," the US president stated.

As reported by the Axios portal on Tuesday, citing sources, the US, UK, Germany, and France agreed to set the end of August as the deadline for concluding a nuclear deal with Iran, otherwise Tehran "will face tough sanctions."
