Trump declared May 8 and November 11 in the USA as Victory Days

Trump made a loud statement about the decisive role of the USA in World War II

President of the United States Donald Trump made a resonant statement on his Truth Social page, where he emphasized America's special role in the victory over fascism.

"Many of our allies celebrate May 8 as Victory Day, but it was we who did more for victory than any other country," the American leader wrote in his message.

Trump did not limit himself to mentioning World War II, noting the superiority of the USA in the previous global conflict as well. "No one came close to Americans in bravery, strength, and military skill," the president stated, adding that it's time to "celebrate our victories again."

As part of this initiative, the head of the White House announced the renaming of commemorative dates: "I am renaming May 8 as World War II Victory Day, November 11 - World War I."
