Trump commented on the meeting between Putin and Whitcoff

US President Donald Trump reported a "very productive" meeting between his special envoy Stephen Whitcoff and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow. According to Trump, the negotiations brought significant progress.

The American president published the corresponding statement on his social network Truth Social

"After the negotiations, I briefed a number of our European allies. All are unanimous in the opinion that this military conflict must be ended, and we intend to actively work on this in the coming days and weeks," Donald Trump emphasized.

Negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Stephen Whitcoff lasted about three hours. This is already the fifth visit to the Russian Federation for the US special envoy. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov noted that during the meeting, the Russian leader "transmitted certain signals" regarding the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
