Summer snowfall on Mount Tahtaly: tourists in Antalya surprised by winter wonderland at 2365 meters altitude

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to trt haber, the peak of Mount Tahtaly in the resort area of Kemer (Antalya) was unexpectedly covered with snow. The precipitation, which began in the morning hours, quickly transformed the mountain peak into a snow-white spectacle. Deputy General Director of Olympos Teleferik Company Haydar Julfa described the impressive landscape that formed on the snow-covered summit.

According to him, tourists ascending Mount Tahtaly by cable car were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected natural phenomenon and admired the views that opened up.

"Local and foreign tourists who came to Antalya expected weather suitable for swimming in the sea on the coast, but after taking the cable car to the top of Tahtaly, they encountered a landscape where they could play snowballs. This caused both surprise and joy for them," noted Julfa.

He also reported that technical inspection of the cable facilities with the participation of Turkish and Swiss specialists was recently completed. Currently, the facility is operating at full capacity and is ready to welcome all visitors.
