A new round of negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine has started in Istanbul
As TASS reports, the Turkish side is actively participating in the negotiation process. The Turkish delegation is represented by high-ranking officials: Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, intelligence service head Ibrahim Kalin, and Chief of General Staff Metin Gurak.
It is worth noting that the previous meeting took place on May 16 in Istanbul and was the first direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine in the last three years. As a result of those negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on preparing draft memorandums on conflict resolution and discussed a large-scale prisoner exchange according to the formula "1000 for 1000".
