It became known how Trump made the decision about the strike on Iran

US President Donald Trump received guarantees of the target's destruction before the strike on Fordow - an Iranian uranium enrichment plant.

This is reported by Reuters.

According to the agency, the American leader considered the strike "the right decision" after being convinced of Iran's lack of interest in the nuclear deal. Sources note that after the start of the Israeli operation in Tehran, they characterized the US as an unreliable partner for dialogue and categorically refused negotiations on the condition of abandoning the peaceful nuclear program.

Recall that on the night of June 22, President Donald Trump announced strikes by the US Air Force on three nuclear facilities in Iran. The main target was the Fordow uranium enrichment plant, whose centrifuges are protected by a hundred-meter rock layer and a massive layer of reinforced concrete, which made the facility virtually invulnerable to conventional bombing.

Only special American bunker-busting bombs could be used to destroy such a fortified target. According to media reports, B-2 strategic bombers used precisely such ammunition in the strike on Fordow. Simultaneously, US submarines launched Tomahawk cruise missiles at nuclear facilities located in Isfahan and Natanz.

Trump declared "complete and final destruction" of key Iranian uranium enrichment facilities. However, the Iranian side claims that the Fordow plant suffered only partial damage.
