Iranian Foreign Ministry expects the US to be ready for a fair agreement at the talks in Oman
As reported by TUT.AZ, the official representative of the foreign policy department of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Baghaei, made an important statement on the eve of the meeting.
"Foreign Minister [Abbas] Araghchi and the accompanying delegation arrived in Muscat to participate in the third round of Iran-US negotiations, which are being held with the mediation of the Foreign Minister of Oman. We are determined to protect the legal and legitimate rights of the Iranian people to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and at the same time, we are ready to take reasonable steps to provide guarantees regarding the exclusively peaceful nature of our nuclear program. The objective and rapid termination of illegal and inhumane sanctions against the Iranian people is a priority for us. It remains to be seen how serious the other side is and whether it is ready for a fair and realistic agreement," Esmail Baghaei wrote on X.
As previously reported by Tasnim agency, the negotiations at the level of expert groups will be led by Deputy Foreign Ministers Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Kazem Gharibabadi.
