In the USA, a major company hired a million robots

Amazon's robot army has crossed the million mark: the technological revolution is changing the balance of power in the largest trading empire. The number of human employees in warehouses has fallen to a historic low in the last 19 years, with only 670 people per facility.

This sensational achievement was reported by Gizmodo, citing Wall Street Journal materials.

The technological transformation has radically reshaped the company's logistics processes. Currently, three-quarters of all Amazon orders pass through the "hands" of robotic systems, and work efficiency per employee has shown phenomenal growth - 22 times: from 175 to 3,870 shipments per day. However, working conditions have not improved. According to a study conducted by the University of Illinois, 41% of warehouse workers suffer from work-related injuries, and more than two-thirds (69%) are forced to take unpaid leave to recover their health.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy in his address to employees unequivocally confirmed the company's course: the introduction of artificial intelligence and robotic systems will inevitably lead to job cuts. Instead of improving working conditions, the corporation has focused on completely replacing human personnel. Anthropomorphic robots for delivery and control systems that respond to voice commands are already being tested.
