Searchers looking for missing persons made a horrifying discovery in the municipality of Zapopan in Jalisco state. 42 bags containing human remains were walled up inside an unfinished building. According to El Tiempo, this is not the first such discovery in this structure - in February 2024, remains of 37 people were already found here. During the June-July period, members of the public organization identified a total of 54 bags containing dismembered bodies.

According to the publication, the notorious "Jalisco New Generation Cartel" is actively operating in Jalisco state. The situation in the region remains extremely tense - more than 15 thousand people are listed as missing.
