Shocking incident at a music festival: 145 girls became victims of syringe attacks in France
During a popular annual street music festival that swept across France, a series of disturbing incidents occurred - 145 girls and teenage girls were attacked with syringes, reports The Guardian.
Warning signs appeared even before the festivities began, when calls for violence against women during the festival started spreading on social media. After the music event concluded, 145 victims contacted the police with reports of attacks involving needles. The country's capital recorded 13 such cases, while the remaining incidents were registered in various cities across France.
Many victims immediately sought medical facilities for toxicological testing. Representatives of the Ministry of Interior suggest that the attackers may have been injecting victims with narcotic substances or sleeping medications - substances typically used by rapists to immobilize victims. Official data on the contents of the syringes has not yet been provided.
