Shocking incident: children in Denmark hospitalized after consuming jelly candies suspected of containing cannabis
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the Ekstra Bladet portal, the North Zealand police reported a disturbing incident involving minors.
According to law enforcement, a group of six children aged 6 to 12 found a sports bag near garbage containers. Inside was a package of gummy bears, which the children decided to try. It was later discovered that the candies contained tetrahydrocannabinol – the main psychoactive substance in cannabis. Ambulance crews were urgently called to the scene, after which several children were taken to a medical facility for examination.
Representatives of the North Zealand police refrained from commenting on the exact number of victims and their current condition. An investigation has now been launched into the crime against life and health, but suspects have not yet been identified.
Recall that in May in the Netherlands, two children and several adults became ill after consuming popular Haribo jelly candies. Initially, it was suspected that cannabis had gotten into the candies, but more detailed examination did not confirm this.
