In Dagestan, a mass poisoning is being investigated: more than a hundred victims in the Magaramkent district
Over the past day, medical facilities have admitted 110 people with characteristic symptoms of poisoning: nausea, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. Of the total number of patients, 18 were hospitalized. According to the Ministry of Health of Dagestan, all victims are in mild to moderate condition, with no cases of severe illness recorded. The exact number of children among those hospitalized has not yet been disclosed.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan has already begun an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
The department reported that on July 7, local residents, including children, with signs of acute poisoning were brought to the Central District Hospital of Magaramkent. The intestinal infection affected residents of five settlements at once: Magaramkent, Kuysun, Gilyar, Gaptsakh, and Verkhny Tagirkent.
