Bad weather in Azerbaijan: strong winds and rains continue throughout the country
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the morning of June 3 in Azerbaijan greeted residents with unstable weather with rain in various regions.
Strong wind gusts have been recorded in several areas. The most intense gusts are observed in the capital and on the Absheron Peninsula, where wind speeds reach 28 m/s. In Naftalan, the wind accelerates to 22 m/s, in Ganja — to 18 m/s, in Altyagach — to 17 m/s, and in Shabran, Yevlakh and Barda, the wind speed is 15 m/s.
A storm has broken out on the Caspian Sea with waves up to 3.8 meters high.
The largest amount of precipitation fell in Dashkesan — 20 mm. In Gedabey, 9 mm of precipitation was recorded, in Agstafa — 5 mm, in Shamkir — 4 mm, in Ganja — 3 mm. 1 mm of precipitation fell in Naftalan, Zagatala, Balakan, Goygol and Tovuz.
According to meteorologists' forecasts, unstable weather in Azerbaijan will persist until June 5.
