The Moon will turn crimson: a total eclipse is expected in September. Astronomer and head of the methodological support department at the Moscow Planetarium, Lyudmila Koshman, told TASS about this.
"In September, there will be a total lunar eclipse and the Moon, finding itself in Earth's shadow, will change its color. Its shade will be reddish," Koshman shared.
She added that the full moon on August 9 will be normal, and the color of the Moon will not change.
It is noted that on September 7, a total lunar eclipse will occur, which will last almost 1.5 hours. All phases of the eclipse will be visible in Russia, in the territories of Europe, Asia, Africa, Antarctica, Australia, and Oceania.
