Streamer gets electric shock through headphones during thunderstorm while live

An unusual incident occurred during a live broadcast of popular Twitch streamer chrispymate, when lightning that struck near his house caused an electrical discharge in his headphones. This is reported by the Dexerto portal.

The dramatic moment was captured on stream: a sudden bright flash illuminated the room, after which the broadcast lost sound, and the shocked streamer tore off his headphones and quickly left the frame.

"I'm going to end the stream. A strong lightning struck, and I felt it pass through my headphones," chrispymate announced to his viewers. He reported experiencing tachycardia and a headache, but tried to lighten the mood with a joke that since he's alive, everything must be fine.

Concerned subscribers strongly recommended that the streamer seek medical attention, but he decided to ignore this advice. Later in comments on Reddit, chrispymate described the incident in more detail, noting that the strike was accompanied by a bright flash, after which he felt a powerful electrical discharge through his headphones.

When one user warned about possible heart rhythm disturbances and the need for medical examination, the streamer admitted that he did not go to the hospital, and slept unusually long the next day, but assured that he "generally felt good."
