Far-right Austrian Freedom Party raises alarm: Zelensky's visit threatens Austria's neutrality

As reported by TUT.AZ, citing Der Standard, representatives of the far-right political force expressed serious concern about the upcoming visit of the Ukrainian leader.

The political association did not limit itself to verbal statements and sent an official request to the country's government with a loud headline "Austria's neutrality under threat - visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on June 16, 2025". Party spokesperson Susanne Fürst went even further, demanding that Chancellor Christian Stocker "bear responsibility" for organizing this visit.

The Austrian Freedom Party insists on providing detailed explanations regarding preparations for Zelensky's arrival, including information about responsible persons and estimated financial costs for the event.

Party leader Herbert Kickl also does not hide his negative attitude toward the Ukrainian president's visit. According to his conviction, providing a platform to the head of a state that is in a state of military conflict is an irresponsible step, especially in the context of calls from many countries for a peaceful settlement of the situation.
