An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 shook the popular resort of Datça in the Turkish province of Mugla, as reported by the Disaster Management Authority of the Turkish government (AFAD).
The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of 14 kilometers. According to preliminary information, the natural disaster occurred without serious destruction and casualties among the population.
Despite the moderate strength of the earthquake, it caused a brief panic among local residents of the resort region.
