What threatens excessive consumption of strawberries - WARNING

Sweet danger: why you shouldn't overindulge in strawberries at the height of the season

With the arrival of the long-awaited strawberry season, medical specialists warn: despite its rich vitamin content and unique taste, excessive consumption of this aromatic berry can lead to serious health problems.

Allergic reaction is the most common consequence. Strawberries contain substances that stimulate the release of histamine, which can cause rashes, itching, swelling, and even anaphylaxis in sensitive individuals.

Stomach irritation. Due to high acidity and the presence of small seeds, strawberries can aggravate gastritis and increased stomach acid.

Kidney problems. Strawberries are rich in oxalic acid, and its excess can provoke the formation of kidney stones in predisposed individuals.

Sugar and pesticides. Strawberry is one of the "dirtiest" berries in terms of chemical residue content. Eating large quantities without thorough washing increases the toxic load on the body.

Doctors recommend limiting consumption to 200-300 grams per day, especially for children, allergy sufferers, and people with chronic gastrointestinal or kidney diseases.
