Expert named the ideal portion of fried meat for an adult's health. The optimal amount is 200-250 grams, which will help avoid overeating and reduce the load on the digestive system, Russian gastroenterologist Vladimir Neronov told "Gazeta.Ru".
"It's best to use moderately fatty pieces of meat, such as veal, lean lamb, and turkey. They contain necessary amino acids and are a good source of protein. Try to fry meat on hot coals rather than over an open flame. This minimizes the risk of carcinogens that occur when fat burns," the doctor noted.
The doctor also advises avoiding beer and carbonated drinks, as they can cause discomfort in the stomach. Red wine, cognac, or mineral water are the best choices.
"If you have digestive system diseases, it's better to avoid fried meat in large quantities. For people with gastrointestinal diseases, pregnant women, people with dental problems (incomplete dentition), the ideal portion is no more than 100 grams. If you still find yourself on the verge of overeating, it's useful to have enzymes (such as pancreatin or mezim) on hand, which will help facilitate digestion. It's worth remembering that healthy food is a balanced ratio of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, and moderation is important in everything," the doctor concluded.
