Swiss scientists revealed the secret of rain formation: biological particles in the atmosphere turned out to be key "architects" of precipitation

Researchers from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) made an important discovery in the field of meteorology. They found that biological particles such as pollen and bacteria play a crucial role in the formation of ice crystals in clouds - a process that underlies most precipitation on our planet. Ice crystals, which fall significantly faster than water droplets, often cause heavy rains and abundant snowfalls. According to the study published in the authoritative journal Climate and Atmospheric Sciences, the increase in global temperature leads to an increase in the concentration of bioparticles in the atmosphere, making them an increasingly significant factor in the formation of weather phenomena and climate changes.

During their work, scientists discovered a direct relationship between the presence of biological particles in the atmosphere and their ability to trigger the process of water freezing in clouds. This discovery clearly demonstrates their direct influence on the mechanisms of precipitation formation and falling.

Note that earlier American scientists discovered a new shade of blue-green color, which can only be observed using special equipment.
