Fitness expert Eduard Kanevsky told "Moscow 24" about this.

According to the specialist, to achieve noticeable results, it is necessary to completely eliminate table sugar and sweet drinks, and significantly reduce fruit consumption. You should also forget about all types of energy drinks, alcohol, and even some sports drinks, such as isotonics, which contain additional carbohydrates.

It is recommended to completely exclude sweets, baked goods, semi-prepared foods, fast food, mayonnaise, chips, crackers, and various snacks from your everyday diet.

Instead, Kanevsky recommends enriching your menu with fiber-rich foods, especially green vegetables, lean meat, fermented dairy products, and complex carbohydrates. Special attention should be paid to sufficient consumption of clean drinking water.

"Regarding workouts, here you should give preference to cardio, ideally up to five times a week for 45-60 minutes. But most importantly, if you decide to lose weight by the New Year holidays, you need to develop not only proper eating habits but also exercise regularly. Your task is not to regain the lost weight during the holidays themselves, as such a setback would be harmful not only to your physical but also psychological state," concluded Kanevsky.
