DANGEROUS DEADLINE: WHICH PRODUCTS BECOME POISON IN SUMMER HEAT AFTER JUST ONE DAY
Summer heat turns ordinary products into a real health hazard. High temperatures create ideal conditions for the rapid multiplication of bacteria in food products. Improper storage can lead to serious poisoning just 24 hours after preparation.
TUT.AZ publishes a list of products that categorically should not be consumed after 24 hours of storage during the summer period:
1. Cooked rice and pasta
The dangerous bacterium Bacillus cereus actively multiplies in these dishes, resistant even to heat treatment. Consuming rice and pasta after a day of storage can result in serious health problems.
2. Salads with mayonnaise
Mayonnaise becomes a real time bomb in hot weather. Salads with this ingredient, especially those left in the open air, pose a serious poisoning threat after just 12-24 hours.
3. Dairy products (yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese)
Even refrigeration doesn't save these products from spoiling during summer. Opened dairy products become dangerous to consume after just one day of storage.
4. Cooked meat and chicken dishes
Summer heat is the perfect environment for pathogenic microorganisms to multiply in meat. Even dishes stored in the refrigerator require thorough reheating and should not be consumed the next day.
5. Seafood (fish, mussels, etc.)
Absolute record holders for spoilage speed. Seafood is categorically forbidden to be stored for more than a day, even in the refrigerator.
6. Egg dishes (omelets, fried eggs, etc.)
Heat activates bacterial reproduction in egg dishes. After 24 hours, such food can become a source of serious poisoning.
7. Cream cakes and sweets
Desserts with milk-based cream are a real find for pathogenic microorganisms. Even a few hours outside the refrigerator turn them into a product dangerous to health.
