Allahshukur Pashazadeh: I consider meeting with Garegin II beneath my dignity

Chairman of the CMB, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade categorically rejected the possibility of meeting with the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, emphasizing that he considers such a meeting unworthy of his position.

As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to Report, Pashazade made this bold statement in a conversation with journalists after the solemn festive prayer at the historic Tezepir Mosque.

"I do not want to meet with Garegin II at this time. I consider a meeting with him beneath my dignity," Pashazade stated firmly.

According to him, the Catholicos has gone beyond his spiritual rank by actively interfering in political processes. "A spiritual person should not be so deeply immersed in politics. Therefore, I have no intention of meeting with him," emphasized the CMB chairman.
