President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called his recent meeting with American leader Donald Trump "100% substantive and productive."
As reported by TUT.AZ with reference to "RBC-Ukraine," the Ukrainian leader shared this assessment during his evening address.
Zelensky specifically highlighted the key point of the agreements reached: "The document does not include Kyiv's debt to Washington, the two countries will work with each other on fair terms so that each of them can earn."
"We discussed with the US President our readiness to conclude an agreement - we talked about it at the meeting in the Vatican. In fact, now we have the first result of the Vatican meeting, which makes it truly historic," emphasized the Ukrainian leader.
According to the president, the agreement has already been sent to the Verkhovna Rada for ratification: "We are interested in ensuring there are no delays with the agreement."
"The agreement has changed significantly during the preparation process. Now it is truly an equal agreement that creates opportunities for investments in Ukraine - quite substantial ones, and in addition - also for significant modernization of production facilities in Ukraine and - equally important - modernization of legal practices in our state," noted Zelensky.
Earlier, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed the signing of an agreement with the US on minerals, which provides for the creation of a recovery fund that will invest in Ukraine.
