Tourist was scratched by a stray cat in Thailand and nearly lost her life

British tourist miraculously avoided deadly danger after an encounter with a stray cat in Thailand. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

According to the publication, 19-year-old Izzy Sampson was walking down the street when suddenly a frightened cat ran across her leg and disappeared. What seemed like an insignificant scratch on her finger didn't appear threatening, however there was a serious risk of rabies infection from the stray animal.

Realizing the danger, the girl immediately went to a medical facility, where she was given antibodies directly into the wound and received the first vaccination against the deadly virus. Not wanting to interrupt her journey, the brave tourist continued the necessary vaccination course at different hospitals in Thailand, and completed it in Indonesia.
