Alarming forecast: famous seismologist warns of possible catastrophe in Istanbul
As reported by TUT.AZ, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 was recorded off the coast of Gökçeada Island in the Aegean Sea, which could have serious consequences for Turkey's largest city.
Authoritative seismologist Naci Görür made a disturbing statement, linking the recent tremors with a potential threat to Istanbul:
"An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 occurred in the Aegean Sea. This earthquake is located above the fault line where the Istanbul earthquake is expected. Such tension may awaken underground tremors that will occur in the future".
